Yesterday morning, when I first heard Ted Kennedy had died, I turned to my wife and said this: “It’s only a matter of time before Dems use this to push their healthcare plan.” Sure enough, just a few hours later, those words proved to be true. It all started with “Good Morning America,” as it usually does. Diane Sawyer and Chris Cuomo asked for Senior White House Advisor, David Axelrod’s thoughts on Kennedy’s passing. Diane starts the interview by asking... more
The “Liberal Lion” has left the jungle.
Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy’s year-long battle with brain cancer is now over. Kennedy was apparently found dead late last night, at the Kennedy family compound in Cape Cod. Love him or hate him, there is no denying that he left quite a legacy. He served as a Massachusetts Senator for almost 50 years, beside 10 Presidents! Wow. He entered the Senate in 1962, as soon as he could, at the young age of 30. When his brother John was elected President, Ted was only 28. So, in 1960,... more
Jackson’s last gift to fans… and taxpayers.
YSP readers know that I absolutely hammer unscrupulous lawmakers, who liberally spend your money. The act in which they partake can only be called theft. My attention has now turned to a private company called AEG Live. Sound familiar? Well, it should. Their name has been all over the news for a few days now. AEG Live is the company that owns the Staples... more
Farrah Forgotten?
Is it just me, or did the media forget that Farrah Fawcett died yesterday too? Ever since the news of Jacko’s death, poor Farrah has been relegated the shadows. The media wasn’t even able to devote one full day to mourning. Not that I realistically expected them to hold off on talking about Jackson’s death, but they could have at least split the airtime a little better. I know that Jacko is good for ratings but what’s right, is right. Poor Farrah. She was such a beautiful... more
The kids are free!
Michael Jackson shocked the world with his death yesterday afternoon. By all indications, there was no sign that he was in bad health. Well, physically anyway. He was actually quite active, in preparing for a tour across Europe and Asia. He even rehearsed at the Staples Center, the night before his death! Go figure huh? Silly foreigners. At age 50, after all his psychotic behavior, the rest of the world can’t get enough of him. People still love and respect him in America, obviously. But his... more
